    2026 Silly Season

Proof that Rick Hendrick is a better person than I am. After what went down a few years ago, I would have told Gene to go pound sand somewhere......

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Jimmie had a chance to be part OF the "Chain Gang", but wasn't interested in being a car owner then, and Spire and Kaulig were here in NASCAR building up their spot on the Chevy food chain while Jimmie was off pretending to be an Indycar driver. As for Childress, he's a REAL legacy, he was...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Nobody told Jimmie to buy into a crappy third tier racing team that had no history with or loyalty to Chevrolet. If you were Childress or Kaulig or the Spire guys, how would YOU feel if some Jimmie-come-lately just jumps in and gets a deal as good or better than you have? I give Chevy credit...

Am I the ONLY one that is a little underwhelmed with Herta, or is Andretti just so mediocre that even HE can't overcome it?

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Don't flatter yourself, Coach went to Toyota because they threw a TON of money at them. As for Legacy, for years Toyota only gave decent funding to ONE team, and they finally got up to three, and yet you keep slamming Chevy for not wanting to pony up a ton of money to like the FIFTH best team...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

I can deal with bad luck. I can deal with just getting beat. What I'm not ready to accept is showing up for a gun fight with a Daisy Red Ryder and combining that with unforced errors topped off with some head scratching pit strategy. None of these four cars were exactly lighting up the...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

As an absolutely PATHETIC performance by a four car team as I can remember. Someone literally should be fired for that 48 pit stop debacle. I worked for four years with a revolving cast of unpaid amateurs and the worst pit stop we ever did was ten times better than that dumpster fire. If this...

    NASCAR on USA 2025

Bubba's late race charge came as a total shock to me too. I didn't know he was on the lead lap, or even back on track until I saw him blow by the 9 on the scoring pylon. Race broadcasting as a whole for ever and ever has been bad about keeping viewers up to date on stories like this, and cars...

    Bonehead of the Week: Indianapolis

Well, Mark Martin agreed with me, so I'm fine with my take. That's as much validation as I'll ever need.

    Katherine Legge

Legge is not a bad driver. At her age and her limits on seat time, the ceiling is rather low, but she has ability, and she is BRAVE. That wreck she had at Road America in an Indy car would have been the end of the road for most of her detractors, and ANYBODY that drove that F'ing Delta Wing...

    Bonehead of the Week: Indianapolis

The last sentence says it all. Allgaier and Larson may not be "official" teammates, but make no mistake, they ARE, and Larson needs to try a little harder to Protect his teammates. Of course we all know how he has treated Elliott in the past, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

    Bonehead of the Week: Indianapolis

Larson is the "greatest driver in the world", but somehow he's always out of control and getting himself or somebody else in trouble driving over his damn head. For somebody so great, he sure seems to have trouble finding the limit of his car without creating a mess.

    Bonehead of the Week: Indianapolis

I'll nominate Larson for being Larson for the thousandth time. Just because he's on "my" team doesn't mean I wouldn't love to choke the crap out of him half the time. Justin is a FAR classier guy than I would be.

    Bonehead of the week: Dover

That decision to take two certainly left ME scratching my head. In my mind, you do two tires for ONE reason, track position, and if you already had one of the fastest cars and you're not just trying to steal a good finish, then two tires better get you the lead. Since it couldn't get them the...

    2025 In-Season Tournament

The Winston Million and the No Bull 5 were pretty big deals back in the day. I also liked the old deal where if you won from the pole you got all the money in the pot and it rolled over every week. Before the first Brickyard 400, Bill Elliott winning the Million was probably the biggest media...

23XI statement on not signing Charter agreement

In the Bill France Jr era I would have sided with NASCAR 90% of the time. My opinion of NASCAR management since then is SO LOW that I would LOVE to see them have their ass handed to them in this lawsuit, but I don't think that's going to happen. Maybe the owners will do a better job of not...

    2026 Silly Season

Thinking you're something doesn't make it true OR pay the bills. I think Daniel is a decent driver, but if I'm looking for a new driver, I'm looking towards some of the raw new talent in Xfinity or trucks instead of a retread Cup driver.

    2026 Silly Season

I think Jr. would be more than happy to run Daniel if he brings enough money. JRM seems fine with running as many cars as they can adequately fund, full or part time.
