    Rate The Race: Chicago

I give it 3 yawns. Sooo grateful I recorded it. I fast-forwarded through all but about 2 minutes. Still, that was 2 minutes I can't get back.

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

I just heard over the radio: Both the ambulance and the safety truck will be cucumbered. Each will receive $20,000 fines, lose 50 points and their crew chiefs are to be suspended for 2 races.

    Cup RACE thread --- Richmond

What is his story? Auto Racing Analyst? Isn't that a self appointed title? Any racing experience? Any experience? The net says he is worth $3 million. To who? I would rather see Digger.

    Why would teams sandbag?

Because winning involves taking chances. If a team/driver takes a chance and crashes out they don't get maxium points. Sooooo...its about points not winning. I keep saying - the true champion is the driver with the most wins!

    Congratulations 18 Kyle Busch

Yep, 2 sweeps! That was easy. For Kyle...but no one else...ever! Kyle is the only driver in NASCAR that drives like the great drivers of yesterday. If NASCAR would let him drive his race a bunch of crybabies would get driving lessons.

NASCAR Announces 2018 National Series Driver Participation Guidelines

I'm disappointed NASCAR did not add a clause limiting the number of a races a cup driver can run in the cup series if they have won a Cup Championship. It is just not fair to the "lesser" drivers in the series!

2017 Watkins Glen - I LOVE NEW YORK 355 - Pre Race Thread

I love New York! I LOVE NEW YORK? No way in the hot south could I ever attend anything called "I Love New York". ....Unless it was Free Car Day for all attendees.

    Tax

I did a lot of research on this before I retired. There are several states that do not tax a retire's retirement income. However, they must increase the state monies other ways such as state sales taxes, real estate taxes, etc so it wasn't worth it for me. I'm sure it depends on amount and type...

    Indy stands.....damn

When I retired (2008) and moved back to this part of the world I was told there was an 8-year wait for Bristol tickets. It wasn't many years until I was able to buy a ticket at the gate at racetime! But the price remained the same. I kept getting emails from tracks for special offers. They...

    Indy stands.....damn

Didn't NASCAR say they delayed the caution until KK had crossed the line because the wrecks would have required a red flag to clean up and by then it would have been too dark to restart. Besides, they wanted KK to have a win in his last year of racing and it looked like he wasn't going to earn...

Why doesn't NBC (or Fox) sponsor a car?

The media seems to be making much of the news lately rather than simply reporting the news. So why don't they sponser a car? It would be great watching the guys in the NBC booth ignore the Fox car when it has the lead....and vica versa.

Successful Xfinity Series race at Indy provides glimpse of the future

New NASCAR penalty? Drivers may only lead 5 laps at a time. Get one point for leading 5 laps, however if a driver leads more than 5 laps (in a row) they lose a point for each subsquent lap until they get passed. (Or wave the #2 car around to alllow them to lead a lap). After only one lap the...

OLD POINT SYSTEM VS NEW SYSTEM/ PLAYOFFS

You know what amazes me most about this thread? Its not the new points system, not the old points system, not even the no points system. Its the posters on here that have analyzed all us fans that have actually experienced great racing, and are now leery of all the changes that are continuing...

OLD POINT SYSTEM VS NEW SYSTEM/ PLAYOFFS

No kidding? Maybe, I would have heard this very important bit of news if I had watched a race or two. I figured the "You-can-never-go-back" guys were right. Going now to check tickets for the Old Dominion 500.
