Got a bandanna on over there, internet tough guy?
^ And for tonight's nightly "Everyone on this site is allowed to have an opinion except Andy" post.
It takes a whole hell of a lot more talent to pass someone clean than to wreck them. I leave all the other crap out of it because Dale Earnhardt worship (which most of his fans think we should be required to do) is vomit inducing.
Same old drama queen crap.
Have any opinion you like of Dale, and if Jeff wins the poll or Dales wins the poll; it is no big deal to me. This is just a way to see what most people think, but hopefully in non idiotic language.
“a**hole” is inarticulate and doesn’t add one once of useful information, while it does attempt to start the food fight. I only requested a little respect for the threads nothing more and I think you are intelligent enough to know that.
If you want to define Gordon as a better person and having qualities that carry-over to a greater driving record, I will be happy to hear the case.
Just screaming barbaric terms won’t do anything but provoke a series of melt downs, insults and killing what has been a fun little contest so far. I can only believe that is your goal, and I can’t stop you, all I can do is try to expose you.
Instead:
How about reminding folks of Earnhardt’s two episodes with Terry Labonte at Bristol, or the two with Rudd at Wilkesboro? After the Rudd episode he said something like
I hope they fine that S.O.B. over the air.
Dale also had that Alpha attitude that he owned the track, I have never tried to portray him as a saint, or tried to make folks think that Dale was a saint. He was even marketed as less “the intimidator” and “the man in black” referred to more than the car color. It may have initiated with the color, but there was a sinister tone, and I think he enjoyed playing the loved villain.
On the track he didn’t cut many breaks, when leading he would fight you tooth and nail to not to let you beat him back to the caution. He didn’t like having a teammate, because it was his team, and his track, just to name a few things.
A person would need to be blind to have missed the way he raced, and he didn’t try too hard to conceal his approach, it was obvious.
But don’t try and tell me he didn’t have exceptional talent, or that he wrecked everyone in an absolute sense. Comparing his talent to Gordon is subjective and if you believe Gordon is better no problem, after all he is one of the greats.
I just wish you would try to at least try to act like you don’t want to ruin these polls.
I know you get the point, but are you decent enough to respect it is another matter.
