RECK....True but check DE's record. He raced for a underdog and he changed CC's often. He was the leader on his team and called for his own changes or fired the CC. Larry won him the 500 and got fired soon after. What is the reason JG stayed with mediocre CC's who couldn't give him what he needed??
BTW, he also lost to DE racing for the championship with the best team in Nascar. He was good but certainly not the best.

That's going on a little bit of a tangent.

I never doubted Dale's greatness while inside the ****pit. I tend to see Dale Earnhardt career trajectory on a different era than Jeff's. They raced together but DE's best days were behind him at the point Gordon took off.

I think that also applies to Jeff and Jimmie somewhat. I make no excuses though. Jimmie is no doubt the man.
