Every time I look at these odds I can help but scratch my head. I know they are based off of the betting line trends but some of these drivers that are deadlocked baffle me. I'll take everyone @ the 100/1 for a total of $10. It's worth a shot for the $90 profit. It may not be likely but I'd take my chances.

My friend that figures the racing odd's for some of the biggest casino's say's that if you're gonna bet on Nascar races just bet on any hunch or system you like or better yet buy a six pack of beer with the money. As you said he just crunches the numbers on the bets that are being made and on past betting trends. He say's Nascar is too unpredictable to factor in past performances like in most other sports. That being said I'll take Bowyer, Edwards and Biffle for 10 bucks apiece. :D

With a track similar to Charlotte, I foresee Jamie having a fast car this weekend. Especially with the win & youre in scenario

Nascar odds are sucker bets. Read the fine print on any betting site. If it says 10/1, don't even think you will be getting 10 bucks of winnings for a buck.

Patrick driving the Aspen dental car this week. Would love a good showing, considering sponsor of race is Oral B.

Auto racing

Betting on auto racing has exploded in popularity in Vegas in recent years, and its appeal continues to grow.
The structure of betting on auto racing is similar to that of golf. The most basic wager involves picking the winner of a race. Typically a sports book will list 20 or more individual drivers along with a field (all others) option, at various odds.
For example, Jeff Gordon may be listed at 4-1, Jeff Burton at 15-1, Casey Mears at 100-1, etc. If you bet $10 on Burton 15-1 and he goes on to win the race, you win $150 plus your $10 back, for a total payoff of $160,
you get all of it.

@dustinlong

DaleJr takes time out from testing here at Martinsville to talk with the media.

Dale Jr says he won't coast last 2 races b4 Chase. Says wants those bonus points for wins.

Dale Jr says he'll have a new chassis this weekend for Atlanta.

According to the FBI, online gambling in the US is illegal. That's why I said an independent sports book or a casino.
Online Gambling, Don’t Roll the Dice
If you’ve ever thought about visiting a cyber casino, here’s something you should know: it’s illegal to gamble online in the United States.
“You can go to Vegas. You can go to Atlantic City. You can go to a racetrack. You can go to those places and gamble legally. But don’t do it online. It’s against the law,” says Leslie Bryant, head of our Cyber Crime Fraud unit at FBI Headquarters.
That means:
…No placing cyber bets on sporting events or in virtual card games;
…No transferring money electronically for gambling; and
…No wagers in offshore Internet casinos even if you live in the U.S.

Variable paint schemes suck. I miss the days that my driver could be identified each and every week without doing homework first.

I'm actually looking forward to this mile and a half. I'll be keeping a close eye on the 5 team all weekend. This may be their last shot at a win. Not saying they can't win at Richmond, but I'd say its not necessarily one of his strong tracks.

I foresee a Chevy in victory lane, and I'll bet it's Jeff Gordon.
