2014 Pocono - Pocono 400 - Pre Race Thread

no DW is all i know, but we do have larry mac

Damn, you tell everyone not to spoil it...and then you spoil it.
It wasnt a spoiler... it was already broadcasted

We tell people not to spoil it because the broadcast is far behind actual qualifying time. If you dont want to have spoilers until you watch it, avoid this thread.

i bet Mr. Gregory is cutting the rug...

I know how it works...and i usually do avoid qualifying threads until i have watched it...but i thought maybe this pre race thread would have been safe. But, i have watched it all now so carry on.

I'll take inside row three going into 1 on the first lap.

Practice getting ready to start. I think Kenny Francis needs to take Jimmie's back up car and slap a 5 on it. Idk how they can be so far off after winning the last time they were at Pocono.

Denny is shifting in every turn. 6 times a lap as the pace slows down.
Stewart to the top of final practice charts so far, I'm sure that will please some fans round here.

Harvick dodged a bullet. He doesn't have an engine problem...it's only a transmission line leak. I'm glad to see all the SHR cars are having a good final practice.

Again, practice and qualifying times don't determine how fast you will be on sunday. The thing to look at is the 10 and 15 lap times.

43 about to take booty out on pit-row

Gordon let Harv go by and he followed him around the track. Good stuff.

That's my next race to watch on my dvr as soon as i'm done watching the F1 q- sessions. I hope the Arca race is good.

Larson continues to impress me. Down about a second and a half after that final ARCA restart. Larson wins ARCA in his 3rd attempt.

Larson can win in just about anything he races in...and it wouldn't surprise me to see a Cup win on his resume before the end of the year.
He has a lot of natural talent. He also listens well to the veteran drivers. Watching him on the track, it's hard to believe he's only 21 years old.
