Tony starts strong but fades as the year goes on while his team mates surge(except 1:rolleyes:)
More rules changes in the off season.
More lead changes.. but also more wrecks.

Thats all I got for now.. Im sure I'll come up with more...

So what do you guys think the 2014 NASCAR season holds for us? Feel free to copy my race wins thing and put your own names in.

Mods, please change the title of this thread from 2014 Predictions? to the I hope Santa see's my 2014 Christmas wish list 'cause that's the only way I'll ever get what I want, thread :)

J/K, Bread.

Prediction: Kyle Busch ends up suspended and Hamlin will be involved.

6 wins for Logano huh? When the "Bold Prediction" thread comes out, I think you got yours ;)

My predictions: Jimmie gets #7, Austin Dillon wins ROTY, Dale Jr. has first multi-win season since '04, Kenseth wins his 3rd Daytona 500.

5 and the all star race lol... and my bold prediction is not Logano related actually... you'll see when that comes around.

But does he make the Chase on his own or does NASCAR need to mysteriously add him to the field?

If the others decide to make a mockery of the sport again I don't see why all 43 drivers aren't allowed in

Imagine if that was true, oh how funny it would be having "Front Row Joe" or Danica Patrick in the chase.:XXROFL::XXROFL:

Yeah, great point. The Pittsburgh Steelers got a crap call against them in Week 16 against the Packers. Let's add a 7th seed to the Playoffs on the AFC side for no reason because we need to make sure everything is "fair" and everybody is happy.
I wonder if the 24's left tire changer can throw...

Stewart, Kenseth, Hamlin, and Gordon all not in the chase? Since they started the chase in 2004 (note: Hamlin full time 2006), there has only been 5 times where one of these missed the chase. Stewart & Hamlin injured in 2013, Gordon in 2005 & Stewart 2006 (both would have made it under present format), and Kenseth in 2009. Even not counting the pass this year for Gordon, it seems pretty far-fetched that none of the 4 make the chase in 2014.

I feel the same way about the Steelers as I did about Gordon after Richmond: you don't wanna get screwed? Then don't put yourself in a position to get screwed. Had either Gordon or the Steelers not been so mediocre all year leading up to the final event going into the postseason, not making it in because of foul play or a bad call wouldn't have even been an issue.

Well said.

My main issue with that is that NASCAR bent to the owners will and just added Gordon without taking anybody out. If you guys remember, the MWR thing was dealt with earlier that week. Truex was penalized and removed from the Chase and Newman was added. The Gordon thing didn't happen until later in the week when there was that video of Penske buying a spot for Logano from David Ragan. NASCAR was stuck between Penske and Hendrick and folded and added Gordon without taking anybody out to appease all sides. That's what was (to me) so offense.

But, this is ancient history at this point and this topic has been run into the ground so, c'est la vie.

Wow, this thread changed quick but since it did and the Steelers are my home team I feel like chiming in..... As mediocre as the Steelers were this season they did put themselves into a position to make the post season and while they did get screwed during that Packers game as well as last weekend's Kansas City/San Diego matchup, you don't hear anyone from the Steelers complaining. I do have to mention that in both cases the NFL did admit that the wrong call was made. The difference that I see between the Steelers situation and Gordon's is that it was the another team that screwed him and not NASCAR. Even though that's the case, it is what it is and we'll be watching San Diego move on and I'll be watching the Steelers prepare for next season. :(

-Jimmie, Chad and the rest of the 48 crew will win championship #7 and win 8-10 races.
-Tony Stewart wins 2-4 races.
-Jeff Gordon will win the Daytona 500.
-Austin Dillion wins ROTY.
-Danica will still suck.
-Stenhouse jr will get his 1st career win.

The only one of those I cant say in my mind has a chance to miss it is Kenseth... maybe I just didn't think about him in my thought process but as far as Denny, Tony and Gordon go to me they're all question marks.. Denny and Tony are hurt.. needs no explanation... and for the last 2 years Gordon has needed to fight for a spot.. he got lucky when he won at Pocono to make it as a wild card in 2012 when Kenseth and Jimmie got together in turn 1.. and this year he was in the same position.. I just think he's getting to be past his prime and there are more guys that can out drive him now than before.

So now we have a couple of three thinking that Gordon and Logano who were both given gifts to be in the chase, somehow will make it next year with multiple wins and possibly a championship? I'm going with carma, neither will make it probably. other than those two vacancies, the same players will be there.. adding Stewart and Kez for Gordo and and the Joey.

My bold prediction is that there will be 14 in the chase so Gordon will make it in.

Gordon has has terrible luck the past couple years. There's no chance in hell it'll happen a third year in a row. That team is too strong and Gordon still has too much talent. I have a good feeling they won't start off so slow again this year

Did you watch any races in 2013? o_O
Maybe you've heard of Matt Kenseth?

kyle busch will kick some ass in all three series as usual AND win the stupid cup so people stop whining about him not winning the stupid cup yet

I don't think Kenseth will be as much of a factor this year. Most likely good for a few wins, but not really a threat.
My avatar speaks for itself, but I got a feeling Gordon won't be playing dead this year.
I also think Brad will be out for blood too!
And yes I think Joey will have his best year yet.

Matt Kenseth isnt as great as some folks think ------------ JJ handed it to him and didnt break a sweat

Yes he did.

What does that say about the rest who couldn't even manage to challenge Johnson :) Poor Crew Chiefs?

Yep I watched them all and had the pleasure of watching Phoenix live. Where was that 20 car in the cup race ???? Losing the championship View attachment 9448
There was an article recently published in the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) in the Nov 2013 edition that stated that loosening the belt even one or two notches can relieve pressure and alleviate the the symptoms of C.A.D. (Cranial-anal disorder), maybe you didn't see that article.

Truth is I dont wear a belt so that isnt a problem. I just dont worship Matt Kenseth, thats not a problem either

I agree...Kenseth will fall back in line where he has spent most of his career. I will give him credit for an amazing season last year and he showed a lot of composure, but it was probably his career climax!
