Too much on the line this weekend for may drivers. Had to start this one a day early. Last weekend is in the rearview mirror.

I wish I were going to this one. Anyone here going?

I'm picking Earnhardt Jr. He'll carry the momentum from this race into the Chase.

You always start'em on Tuesday. :D Holiday blues?

No, basically just saying since I thought today was Monday that makes my Thursday Friday in a convoluted sort of way.
The nutty part of that is it makes perfect sense to me even though it went way over my head at first. :D

Newswise for NASCAR the best case scenario for the outcome from Saturday night would be a Danica victory. Sorry Stewart fans but the worst case would probably be a Stewart victory.

To me it feels like a Wednesday, which makes it being Tuesday so much worse.

What would be worse is if you don't go to work on Saturday. o_O
It doesn't help I spent Sunday and Monday at the hospital with my wife, and then work today through next Thursday because I work on political campaigns and Delaware's primary is next Tuesday.

I understood it perfectly the first time. Monday holidays always messed with my mind when I worked. Just made the whole week very strange.
When I worked at my regular job I went to work for 3 or 6 month's and when I came home I was home for 3 or 6 month's. There were no holiday's, weekends or day's off. So I guess long weekends and holiday's don't affect me the same as it does most other people.

Well, I sure hope your wife is okay.

As far as the political work goes, good luck in your victory.

Thank you, she had gastric bypass surgery on the 11th and has had near constant pain since then, doing all kinds of tests to figure out what it could be. Hopefully every candidate in our party wins in the election, I work for a coordinated campaign which is run by the party in Delaware to help all candidates of the party get elected so if we lose anything it means we failed at our job:D

We wish the best for your wife.

But at work

Ambrose looks up the chart to find Danica right next to him..... He simply shakes his head.

Lots of people going for broke in this one. And in reality, the entire field, minus Biffle, has nothing to lose by letting it all hang out. Guys locked into the chase can do whatever it takes to win with little to no consequence. Drivers outside the chase have to do anything and everything.

Can't wait for this one - emotions and pressure at an extreme. :)

These are the odds to win the championship posted just before the Daytona 500. A lot different than today's odds. I wish I had put a hundred bucks each on the 2, 4 and 24.

I expect a crazy finish to this race and lots of strategies by desperate teams. I could see Bowyer, McMurray, or Larson winning their way into the chase.

that would be good, unless Biffle wrecks out, Boyer and Larson don't have much of a chance to point their way in.

I can't wait for this. I'll be there with bells on!
Expecting an exciting race.

Man, if I could go to any race this year, it'd be this one by a huge margin :D

I got lucky. The wife won the tickets from the radio. It's about a 5 hour or so drive, so not terrible. I just called the track and they told me that a ticket for all day Friday was just 35 bucks so we might catch the Nationwide race and qualifying too.

Isn't her sister coming for a visit, in which case she wont be able to go? ;)

I think that Bowyer spins someone for the win, even though I'm hoping that Kenseth can outrun the field :D

Who put those odds on JR winning it all before the season? Nobody thought he'd have this type of season.

And he goes out and has a career year, and his odds go DOWN? WTF?

Did they expext him to win 10 races at this point in the year?
