2017 Phoenix - Can-Am 500(k) - Pre Race Thread

I'm going, I live in Arizona, 84 degrees may seem hot to you, but to me that a lovely day. Just glad the temp isn't 100+ like it was in the spring race
Where abouts ?

Is that a result of qualifying trim, do you think? I didn't really see what the times were before they switched over so have no POR.
No idea.

We can surmise they all had roughly the same fuel load ... that's about it.

Kez? Chase, Blaney, Jimmie? anybody? I think I'll get sick if Hambone makes it in.
I'd bet a decent amount of money that Chase Elliott won't allow Hamlin to race for a title. I know some don't think he's got it in him, but I think he's playing it coy.

It certainly would be fun to see, especially if he's able to pull it off without being too obvious, unlike the way Kenseth took out Logano.

Assuming Blaney starts the race on the inside, Hambone is going to have the #24 on his rear bumper.

Should be some serious battles for stage points among #2, #11 & #21 - especially with Keselowski starting outside the top 15.

#24 & #48 are nearly in a must win situation.

He has no shot unless he wins, which he’ll probably do
Realistically Brad is the only one who stands a chance to advance on points. Hamlin could but he has Blaney on his rear. I think Kes has to play it cool to be sure he isn't out of arms length. JJ, Chase have no option but win.

Pole winner has his choice of inside or outside lane. All other odd-numbered positions start on the inside. Restarts work the same way.

Hmmmm.
I thought it was different for the initial start.
I stand corrected.
