2018 Goodyear Tire & Track Testing

Morning test, Young Byron again up top in the 24. Kez in the antique Ford found some speed #beatingthegerbils

ah I tend to think the Chevys were serious and brought their A game, it's a new car and all with no info but simulation runs for Vegas. The rest of them is anybodies guess. The Toyota's and the Fords posted good numbers but they could be looking at smaller details.

I agree with this. They were embarrassed last year. Go out to the first test, lay some down, give the fans a boost, get people talking. I think we have forgotten the PR boost testing can give a team/driver/manufacturer. Thought it was weird that Martin wasn't there. A reasonable jaunt for FRR, and they pass? I'll make some calls. ;)

no they weren't actually, Earnhardt Jr was fastest last year at the test. Go figure.

I wonder if this is test isnt going to be as beneficial to Toyota as the other makes, I mean if you look at Ford/Chevy, there was 8 Chevy teams, 5 Ford Teams and just 2 for Toyota, Ford/Chevy on theory probably collected more data then Toyota.

Just thinking out loud, I could be off base.

But........ since Nascar is so intent on a level playing field........ I predict that Nascar will mandate all 3 manufacturers have to share all the information they garnered through the test session with each other....... That's only fair. LOL.

I wouldn't say on the season they were embarrassed either. Larson had to slow down at Homestead to keep from passing both of them

Nobody in the final four isn't embarrassing? You have different standards than mine. You and I both know why Larson wasn't there....all the new body in the world won't help smoke coming out of the pipe. Nobody was racing Larson.
