2018 MENCS Rules released

every thread, same ol same ol. yap yap yap.

I don't think discussing rules changes, aero or sealed engines is even in the least bit yap yap for a couple of reasons. The first is if you enjoy talking about it you should and the second is it is informative.

I totally get that you see no correlation between lesser interest in Nascar and the current product and God bless you for it. However instead of just making a bunch of rules that will lead to nothing good why not spend some time trying to think of ways to make the racing more interesting and dare I say fun? Can you think of anything Nascar is doing that stands a really good chance of making the racing something more people want to see because they like it and find it entertaining?

So far in Xfinity with a couple of composite body races, they were using bear bond like in cup to do what it can.

Yep.....them thar kompozite bodies are gonna send off subliminal messages that make people tune in...........:D

more off topic thread bending yap yap yap. might try the ratings thread instead of trying to screw up another topic. ;) this isn't a popularity contest/comparison/deathbed thread...yet

I think it was Aunty that said teams were now spending their money underneath the car

Overall, Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski says this is NASCAR is simply furthering its ability to tighten the space teams can work in during the course of a season.
"I think the rules on the outside of the car continue to get tighter as the technology gets better for NASCAR to police it," Keselowski said. "So the teams have gobs of money to spend so they move to the bottom side of the race car...
I think there are always changes every year, and it's sometimes difficult to understand the reasons behind them. Beyond that, I didn't see a lot that stood out to me."

HEY! You are supposed to have me on iggy......what is going on?

As you know I love, love, love, irony and it is terribly ironic that Nascar has spent time and other resources working on rules that won't improve the product or add any new fans despite new fans being its greatest need. If a car with a composite body crashes into the fence and no one is there to see it does it still make a sound? With regard to cost savings Aunty and others have been adamant that there really is no saving money in racing as what gets saved in one area just gets spent trying to gain an advantage in another. ^ Lets all meet at that Deathbed place. Last one out, please turn out the lights!

Another on topic post. I heard teams paying insane prices for shocks that pop the car back up after a race to make ride heights.
