2018 Nascar rule changes / Updates

I remember watching the cars entering onto the track at the fall Texas race last year. They would dive down low on the apron in turns 1-2 and then make almost a 90 degree turn up onto the track to get the right amount of bend when the side skirt would hook the track coming upon to it. Some cars wouldn't get enough of a bend so they would dive back down again and give it another go. Pretty creative.
 
Yeah I am wondering if that phase is done with this new material. Can they figure out a way to make the skirts to flare. I hope it is finished myself, it works great but looks stupid IMO. Largest change to the cars appearance in years if it works. They tested them in Xfinity first so they probably will work in cup.

They wont flex. Thicker plastic material. I love it
