Didn't Rusty have a nasty wreck there back in the early 90s?And there were a few terrible ones like Sadler 2010, Gordon 2006 and Johnson 2017 left off that. When they wreck at Pocono, they wreck a ton.

#1 is worthy as the Allison crash is an all timer but the Sacks/Speed crash from 1989.........
........If Pocono had concrete walls at the time instead of steel boiler plates it would have been fatal imo.
Is this bad?yeah *sigh* any day now they will roll up the sidewalks

lolIt sure isn't doing well.
It was pretty much the 78 most of the year and KDB turned it up come playoff time. I agree with you. I hear all the time that there's more parity than ever, but I don't see it.Last year it was the 18 & 78
This season it' the 4 & 18
Turning into F1. 2 teams per season that are miles ahead of everyone else.
Have no fear, the all star package soon will be hereLast year it was the 18 & 78

They were a lot more energy absorbing than the solid dirt that Sadler went head first into. Those steel boiler plates at the impact point look like the lining of an above-ground backyard pool.
I hope soHave no fear, the all star package soon will be here
I always laugh when people talk about the parity. There's less than at any time since I've followed the sportIt was pretty much the 78 most of the year and KDB turned it up come playoff time. I agree with you. I hear all the time that there's more parity than ever, but I don't see it.

Thank God. I swear if they run that thing at a place like Atlanta next year I'll lose it.Chad K. on Sirius on Thursday made it seem pretty unlikely that they would be rolling it out for multiple tracks this year.

They gave, solid earth doesn't.They sure look it; they’re twisted and crushed like mobile home skirting.
Thought I saw something this week that said Harvick and Busch are the first driver pairing to each win 4+ of the first 13 races since 197X.NASCAR has always had one or two teams dominating a season since I’ve been watching mid to late 90s’. Only difference is that there would be the occasional Joe Nemechek or somebody that would unload and kick everybody’s butt some weekend. For the most part though, it’s always been a top heavy sport

Sounds like if any rain hits in early afternoon it could end up causing a delay in the start, at least that's how I read this:

Get ready for some restictor platesLove the way these cars operate on this track. Hopefully it’s a good race and this isn’t the last time we see cup cars shifting and diving into corners here at 205 mph.
