May drive over from Columbus this weekend
Rain may be in the forecast...can't say it wouldn't look a little odd watching someone run at IMS in the rain!
Helio, Rossi, Newgarden, RHR fail to advance even to the top 12. Dixon and three guys who have a combined 22 starts in the front two rows. First pole for a Swede since Kenny Brack in 2002.
INDY ! Finally. I just love seeing the track on screen . Even though
I went to the first F1 race at the track, I still cant get use to them going
backwards down the front. It just seems wrong. My picks are RosenQ,Harvey,Power.
I kinda wish I woulda picked Pag because of the rain chances. But oh well,
its done. Can't wait and no rain delays !
Off Topic: Formula E today also if you need a Monaco fix. 11:30 a.m. EST - FS1
This "Drive Like Andretti" show is a pretty dang good watch.
Can anyone guess where I am?
How about this? That's the fly-over.
Got myself DAZN for free for the month of may
Unfortunately no pre-race and presumably no original commentary.
An Air Force base?
Let's see if they can get through turn 1 for a change.
I believe the German commentator thinks that ice hockey player is actually driving that car...
There's been worse here but that's a major points blow for Rossi.
Yeah, that's multiple laps. This just became a practice session.
Not even to the green flag before getting hit for Rossi... smh
I just love seeing this place, even if it's just the road course with almost empty stands.
Can't wait for the 500!
And now he just realized Harvey is not on primary tires.
Weird place to crash. Don't think I've seen someone just lose it mid-race there before.
Good reminder of Ericssons F1 days
Also interesting to see a driver wearing glasses during the race.
The power of spectacle. Same cars, same drivers, same track; nobody there. Tells me a lot about the 'fans' that will be there in two weeks.
Well I did not want to hear that about one of my picks - Mike Shank said
"his driver Jack Harvey has never driven in the rain". Ughh. Fingers crossed
but expectations low. This is going to get interesting. Pit boys need to be on "A" game.
Hmm. It'll be interesting to see how much ground these guys 17th-22nd can make up on fresh reds before the rain comes.
He has never driven an IndyCar in the rain.
I think he won a GP3 race in the rain a couple of years ago.
Just not in an Indy car I don't think. I think he had to have in Europe and Lights at some point.
What a disaster of a race for Andretti. Rossi, RHR, Herta if you want to count the alliance car...
Not much under yellow...
Didn't work out at all for RHR and Hinch lol. Oof.
I think every race fan would rather go to the 500 than to the Grand Prix.
What I can't understand is when people purchase Sunday tickets for a motocycle Grand Prix event and only attend the MotoGP race. They miss a lot of action
Rosenqvist napping on two straight restarts.
Harvey hanging tough.
I'm finally convinced the German commentator must be blind. He's even worse than our F1 guys and that means a lot.
That's the good seat, high up under the over hang at the last corner
with a good view of the pit entrance and front straight.
Oval turn 1?
Someone's gonna have a massive crash with slicks in the wet in the next 10 minutes.
I'm hoping they can avoid that, but it's dicey and interesting out there.
Separate names with a comma.
