2019 IndyCar Miscellaneous





I think they need some sort of support package like you have at Iowa or Gateway, but if you can't, qualifying/final practice/race all on the same day is at least better than a cold track until the race starts. I'd still like to see Indy Lights show up there though.
 
Silly Season stuff:

- ABC Supply dropped their long-time support of AJ Foyt Racing, who insist they'll continue on with two full-time cars. Not sure I buy that as being terribly likely, even though they claim they're talking to a few potential sponsors. ABC will be on the cars at the Indy 500. Driver lineup shake-up is almost guaranteed with at Leist out of the picture, who is looking to stay in the series in at least a part-time capacity - another thing I wouldn't be sure of, he didn't set the world on fire in Lights and got called up too quickly, and hasn't really done anything of note besides his wet Indy GP performance earlier this year.

- Dale Coyne wants to retain Ferrucci, which might be the first time ever DCR carry over a multi-car full-time lineup to the next season.

- Sounds like Ed Carpenter is going to retain Pigot, who has shown flashes this season. Can't say the same for Ed Jones, who somehow has only seemed to regress each year in the series.

- As expected, Colin Braun is getting a lot of interest with his IMSA program ending at the end of the season. Last year RLL were also interested in him.

Perhaps they should ask for me reasonable pricing. I live nearby and looked into making a weekend going to Monterey but I noticed the cheapest ticket was $100 for seats that even stated they had limited viewing. I know that people are rich that live in Monterey but no reason to charge an arm and a leg for the tickets.
 
Not bad. I'm beyond annoyed they can't put on Pocono or a suitable "superspeedway" alternative (even a 1.5 miler like Chicago).
 
I’m assuming JoNew will be at speed if they’re asking for feedback which should be really cool.

The infield is really narrow and tricky and should be hard to pass for IndyCar but would be interesting up on the banking so I’m for it.
