Road America too. He could be the new Sam Hornish.
I don't recall Hornish contending for road course wins at the Cup level. A.J. is better in a stock car than Sam ever was. Too many unforced errors though. Maybe the pressure will be off in these limited races at this level.
Dash for cash starts next week = no cup regulars!
Jeb Burton about his 5th place finish at Texas in a Jr car
He's been through a lot the past four-five years. He went from being an impressive driver in the truck series, to jumping to the cup series with BK Racing... We all seen how horrible that was for him, then RPM's xfinity program dropped him after his sponsors didn't pay up.
Great performance by him yesterday and Jr I like him sticking his neck out for Ryan Truex and Burton. They both exceeded my expectations IMO.
Bristol Xfinity entries, Harrison Burton 19, the first of eight races lined up this year
Tyler Reddick to Debut the No. 2 Dolly Parton Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway
Looks like they get to run Martinsville next year. About time. Triple header weekend to set the final 4 for all 3 series. Where the hell are they gonna put all those haulers, etc?? Lol
Looks like we found out how to get NASCAR back on ESPN's radar...
Haha. What a terrible paint scheme for a cup debut.
Agree, he was darn good in open wheel before fame and fortune bit his ass.
Big news for the 2020 schedule:
Back at Martinsville next year, Xfinity will race on Sunday before the Cup Series race, Richmond will he the cutoff race before the playoffs.
Give me a double header of Xfinity and Truck series at Gateway. Have is support the IndyCar race, that would be an easy sellout IMO.
Bristol, 1st race of the Dash for Cash
2nd and third, 8th and ninth are the dash for cash cars. Ol Double ought Cole Custer takes the pole
Thank goodness for Dash for Cash. I'm already sick of the major leaguer's playing around in the minor's. Give us a little break.
Great run by Burton as well.
Its a lot more fun when you get to see talent develop like its supposed to.
and from my seat, will he get slapped around by the regulars, or will he be able to hang. Same thing for Briscoe and Cendric. A lot of story lines besides listening to them stroke KDB.
A showcase month for the Xfinity Series. I will be watching.
I'm really looking forward to today's race.
The first lower series race without Kyle Busch since Daytona. And it's at Bristol
And the K&N race will be live on fanschoice right after this one
They kicked ol Kyle to the curb by having this contest..It takes what it takes.
Briscoe passes Gragson and Nemechek by one point
Haley has exceeded my expectations so far. He's been quite the upgrade in the 11 car. @StandOnIt I shall have my crow sir, deals a deal.
He's definately better than Truex was last year to this point.
faf in feathers to you sir. I believe I mouthed off about Cendric and he is 4th, so I think I will join you in a plate.
Race 2 of the cup driver less Dash for Cash entry list. Tyler Reddick leads the series followed by Christopher Bell
Interesting, this is the new organization Visser is involved in sponsoring GMS this coming weekend.
I saw mention of an Xfinity test on the IMS road course happening in June in Robin Miller’s mailbag this week, has anyone heard about that?
Rovals are going to be all the rage. I think this could be very positive for the Xfinity race to test out. I like the idea because the races at Indy have not been the greatest received races by the masses.
The truck race at IRP to go along with the mid-west love at Gateway would be a hit.
Seen that too, really wish they would go back to IRP. Best race in Indy years ago when Nascar was in town.
I bet turn one would be good at IMS.
I hate to sound like a gomer but I don't think Xfinity should be running on the oval anyways - ideally they would be with Trucks at IRP, but if they have to have IMS on the schedule run the road course (even though the course itself is not all that special). It sounds like a bit of a last-ditch effort for that series at that track.
Brett Moffitt driving No. 8 car for JR Motorsports at Talladega
Jr even said Moffitt could be a championship caliber driver in the right situation. I think Jr is recruiting him for JRM for the future and I for one think he could be a damn fine driver for JRM. Lets hope Moffitt can get some much needed sponsorship for the future.
I would have liked to see Chastain get a shot, but I understand he is still under contract with Ganassi. Moffitt will be fun to watch if he can survive Dega.
Custer's win and Bell's misfortunes has tightened up the second place standings. Good three way battle so far
I thought the announcing did a good job this week reporting the field and following the action at Richmond. For one they spent some time describing this team's season and followed Sieg thru out the race. New comer Zane Smith had good camera time and he showed good speed and car control driving the 8 car. The story's in the story I hope they continue to go in that direction and Chad adding his technical knowledge made this one of the better jobs of calling a race IMO.
If they had a real driver on with Chad it would have been a lot better. In my opinion of course.
Ross gets a decent ride. That ride has produced crow feathers recently. I'll say he gets a top ten or better or I'll eat a plate myself. Any takers say he doesn't get there or they will take a plate if he does?
