Road courses and short tracks.
Road America too. He could be the new Sam Hornish. The venues weren't announced, but Mid Ohio and Watkins Glen would be good places to include on his dance card, IMO.

Haha. What a terrible paint scheme for a cup debut.Looks like we found out how to get NASCAR back on ESPN's radar...
Agree, he was darn good in open wheel before fame and fortune bit his ass.I don't recall Hornish contending for road course wins at the Cup level. A.J. is better in a stock car than Sam ever was. Too many unforced errors though. Maybe the pressure will be off in these limited races at this level.
Thank goodness for Dash for Cash. I'm already sick of the major leaguer's playing around in the minor's. Give us a little break.2nd and third, 8th and ninth are the dash for cash cars. Ol Double ought Cole Custer takes the pole

and from my seat, will he get slapped around by the regulars, or will he be able to hang. Same thing for Briscoe and Cendric. A lot of story lines besides listening to them stroke KDB.Great run by Burton as well.
Its a lot more fun when you get to see talent develop like its supposed to.
I'm really looking forward to today's race.
The first lower series race without Kyle Busch since Daytona. And it's at Bristol
And the K&N race will be live on fanschoice right after this one
I saw mention of an Xfinity test on the IMS road course happening in June in Robin Miller’s mailbag this week, has anyone heard about that?
Seen that too, really wish they would go back to IRP. Best race in Indy years ago when Nascar was in town.I saw mention of an Xfinity test on the IMS road course happening in June in Robin Miller’s mailbag this week, has anyone heard about that?
I hate to sound like a gomer but I don't think Xfinity should be running on the oval anyways - ideally they would be with Trucks at IRP, but if they have to have IMS on the schedule run the road course (even though the course itself is not all that special). It sounds like a bit of a last-ditch effort for that series at that track.Rovals are going to be all the rage. I think this could be very positive for the Xfinity race to test out. I like the idea because the races at Indy have not been the greatest received races by the masses.
The truck race at IRP to go along with the mid-west love at Gateway would be a hit.

If they had a real driver on with Chad it would have been a lot better. In my opinion of course.I thought the announcing did a good job this week reporting the field and following the action at Richmond. For one they spent some time describing this team's season and followed Sieg thru out the race. New comer Zane Smith had good camera time and he showed good speed and car control driving the 8 car. The story's in the story I hope they continue to go in that direction and Chad adding his technical knowledge made this one of the better jobs of calling a race IMO.
