Time again to return to Kentucky for the 10th annual Quaker State 400

Friday - Xfinity (8:00 PM - FS1)
Saturday - Truck Series (1:00 PM - FS1)
Sunday - Cup Series (2:30 PM - FS1)
 
Looks like that entry list is outdated. Will Jimmie still race? Kinda doubt it...

Wonder how soon Hendrick needs to name Allgaier as the driver of the #48 in order for him to qualify for the starting line-up lottery.
 
Weird that the Kentucky Cup race will be ran on a Sunday.

Loving the Xfinity double, they put on a good show at Kentucky.
 
The pre-race threads are my midweek go-to for planning the weekend. Thanks!!

This track is my least favorite although last year's race was ok. Day races usually aren't as good as night races with this package though. It's been too long since we ran with the short track package... bring on Loudon.

Good idea. It's just something said to keep the heat off potential or otherwise. A good example is when he trashed the package when it came out saying you can't pass and then he went out and started at the back and passed every car to get to the front. :idunno:

I honestly wouldn't pay much attention. It's how he processes things.....he runs his mouth. MTJ whines. Some don't say much. All of it is whatever it is.
 
Why is Michael McDowell starting 30th if he's 23rd in points? Shouldn't he be in the 13-24 range?
 
I'm not looking forward to a rain delayed rescheduled race for Kentucky. Don't rain so we can get it over with. Even the trucks couldn't make it exciting.
 
Based on the 3 races already run I'd have to say I expect a one groove track with a few cars breaking loose trying to make the bottom loose.

The same thing has happened in all 4 races. The car/truck that had the best setup once they got out front they were uncatchable. Kyle starting on the pole if he has a halfway decent car I don't see him losing the lead unless one of them screws up. If he has a good car it will be almost impossible to pass. Same thing would go for Harvick, Hamlin, probably Logano, Kez. Unless they do something with the track it is a one laner. The rain isn't going to help anything either.

My only hope is the rain washes some of dumb traction compound off and the bottom and middle grooves even out. Think I'm asking for too much.....

I just woke up it’s 615 am central. Just seen the weather in Kentucky , looks like it’s going to be rain. Again. I can’t figure out for the life of me why NASCAR just doesn’t race now, like call the drivers to their cars, start your engines and throw the green flag. Let’s get it done.

Its pretty simple $$$

No fans on the stands so no ticket money

Networks won't pay nascar to broadcast a race at 7 AM because no one would watch it. Without TV money they wouldn't be able to cover the purse.

Networks won't show the race on tape delay, no one will watch it because they already know who wins.

Looks like they should be ok today. Might still have a chance at scattered showers in areas.

Maybe if anything, they end the race under the lights
