As for the worst Cup race rating in the time I've been keeping track, I believe that is held by the June 2015 Michigan race, which had a 3.52 average rating.

I remember that race... the "Brian France Special." It was the original test run for the high downforce / high drag package that France hoped would produce WFO flat-foot racing at intermediate tracks... in search of more pack racing. It was the polar opposite of what Carl Edwards and other drivers were lobbying for... lower downforce that would showcase driver skills.

Brian France, I had forgotten about you, but now that I'm reminded, I hate you all over again.

Here's to the end of an unconventional but fun season. Your 2020 R-F Cup Race of the Year goes to the May 31st Bristol race, your 2020 R-F Xfinity Series Race of the Year goes to the Labor Day Weekend Darlington race. The worst races in our collective opinion were the October Talladega race on the Cup side and the August Daytona race on the Xfinity side.

It would be remiss of me not to mention our late great friend Johali here, as he was always the master of the Rate the Race threads. It was a classy touch by @TexasRaceLady to name all of the Rate the Race threads after Johali this year. We miss ya Gator, your guy winning the championship was a poetic ending to the season. :lilangel:
