Time for a short version of the west coast swing as we head out to Vegas and then Phoenix. Triple header this weekend as the trucks are back after a week off.

Friday - Trucks (FS1) - 9:00 PM EST
Saturday - Xfinity (FS1) - 4:30 PM EST
Sunday - Cup (FOX) - 3:30 PM EST

Hoping the 22 can get back on track after an abysmal showing at Homestead this past weekend.

Vegas was a solid race last season.

Hoping for another solid race and mini west coast swing this year.

I'm always looking forward to the truck series running there, they will put on a great show.

McDowell won the Daytona 500 and finished 8th and 6th but isn’t the point leader 🙄

That pic makes me miss full grandstands and being at the track

I was considering making the 6 hour drive to this one with my Dad. Wanted to do some fishing on Lake Mead then NASCAR together.
SAPPY SCMALTZ ALERT

Go. I'd give damn near anything legal for my father to be able to ride even two hours and make it through a short Truck race again. We'll keep doing the recliners as long as we can.

Go. Drink your preference, hoot and holler like idiots, point out the pretty girls, eat crappy food,.

Go.

Good looking scheme now just don't power bite the wall this time.
The irony is that in the Xfinity broadcast Saturday, Almirola (though it did sound like he was joking) mentioned how he was a respectful driver and would never "chop" someone etc when talking to Kurt.

I just realized I don't know how they are coming up with the starting line up. Harvick on the pole?
It's some combination of finish fastest lap and points I believe

The formula is stored in a bank vault in Atlanta with the formula for Coca-Cola.
Seriously, if they are not going to qualify NASCAR should come up with a better way to set the field. I get a chuckle out of news headlines stating Harvick or whoever gets the pole for the race.

Good lineup in the booths. Dillion was surprisingly good the last time I believe it was his first time, and Kurt and Joey are both really good. No jumping gerbils.

Some former winners of the spring Las Vegas race which used to be the only stop on the calendar until 2018 when it received its second date, a playoff date which is the Playoff Opener.

Still on track for blue sky's with some occasional cloud cover passing through by Sunday, possible wind gusts on Saturday but seems to be trending downward, sunset around 540pm. Nascar weatherman gerbil out.
