Despite flashes of brilliance and the best car on the grid he never managed to string together a serious championship campaign. Even without all the strategic errors mid season he wouldn't have come close to the points lead.
No point in Piastri letting him through.

When’s the last time Team Enstone got a double podium? I would guess sometime during the Lotus era with Kimi and Grosjean. It’d be a monumental day for that group if they can hold on.

Norris, in my opinion, doesn't have the mental makeup of a champion. Piastri seems to have more of that killer instinct. Norris continues to fold under pressure.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say multiple other drivers currently on the grid would be leading the title in that McLaren this year. He and that team have left so many points on the table this season it’s almost hard to believe.

Took long enough to get a proper wet race again, but when the conditions were at their trickiest and he was mired at the back of the grid at the start, Max went and reinforced why he’s still - by far - the best driver in the series. Legacy drive.

Max showed today why he's a three-time champion and why he will be a four-time champion in a few weeks.
He's simply the best driver out there.
He made passes no one else made stick and made it look effortless.
Everyone else was sliding off track while he didn't put a foot wrong.
His future teammate did a great job holding off Hamilton and Perez.
Still would've loved to see this play out without the first safety car.

I'm pretty surprised by the decisions here. I thought Merc had a real chance at having both cars being DQ'd and I thought for sure Lando would get a time penalty.
Pretty crazy that charles got fined more for saying a "bad" word than drivers who broke sporting regs.
