P13 on debut in a DCR machine. That ride should be his for the rest of the season if he has the means for it.Toby Sowery, what a performance from him so far! Top 15 ahead of Harvey, great performance for the young man.
Palou very easily could’ve just brought the car home safely, but he was definitely on the ragged edge the final stint. That was cool to see.And again.
Will be interesting to hear what the drivers think about the hybrids with a full race under their belts. Hopefully they can get them up to 90-100hp or so next year and they can be more visibly impactful.Glad to see Pato win one on track. Palou never came quite into striking distance but Pato couldn't make the slightest of mistakes.
Pretty forgettable race apart from that. The hybrid didn't seem to make much of a difference, the most notable difference were the green lightnings in the graphics.

Unfortunately it seems like every major road course in the country got repaved at once. Passing at Mid-Ohio is typically challenging but doable, but this was even tougher. For a narrow, rolling track, the extra grip was just too much today. Hopefully it ages quite a bit in one year like Laguna did though. I think a poor broadcast direction did no favors. I had to use the app to follow some battles.
I agree, both tracks with a lot of nice flow but Barber has the bigger braking event between the two at turn 5. Your best bet here is to get a good run out of the Keyhole and pass into turn 4, but even that corner has a good rolling speed. Unfortunately with the repave today it seemed like the differences in braking and traction capabilities between the primary and alternate weren’t as distinct as in the past, where you’d historically get good battles between the two-stoppers using mostly the blacks and three-stoppers running mostly reds.Mid Ohio flows a little better than Barber though. Have to be willing to check someone
They did get obsessive about the two leaders and Dixon's struggles, to the detriment of other action.I think a poor broadcast direction did no favors. I had to use the app to follow some battles.

I think we’ll just have to be patient with waiting for Road America, Laguna Seca, and Mid-Ohio to age again, but even still, if these are what the “boring” races are like for now that’s pretty good in the end.
