Yeah it harkens back to the USAC Silver Crown as well. Saddens me how IndyCar has lost that connection to dirt/asphalt open wheel racing around the US

This is such a huge hit or miss. Between a barn-burner, Newgarden lapping the field and leaders not even being able to pass lappers, everything is possible.
