2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix

Ambient temperature is 48 degrees F for Q1. Track is slick.

2 Mercedes fastest in Q1. Colapinto 5th.

Perez, Alonso, Albon, Bottas and Stroll out.

Q2 - Hamilton, Sainz, Russel, Gasley, Leclerc.

Colapinto crashed hard at the end of the session.

Colapinto, Ocon, Magnusson, Lawson and Zhou Guanyu missed the cut.

Hamilton spins with 5 minutes to go in the final session. Russel grazed the wall with his RR.

Russel, Sainz, Gasley, Leclerc and Verstappen fast 5. Gasley looked really good.

Verstappen outqualifying Norris with Red Bull DIYing a revised rear wing throughout the weekend.

Vegas would actually not be a bad spot for the finale, imo.

I know he won the championship, but anytime Max Verstappen doesn’t win the race, we get a moment of world peace.

I was in and out of sleeping. Did Hamilton make thay many passes or was the P2 finish a strategy thing?

He only won one of the last 12...

Nevertheless, congratulations to the sixth driver to win four world championships.
For most of the season Red Bull didn't have the best car and yet Max always took the maximum points haul that he could get. If there was any doubt he deserved to win the championship, he showed at Interlagos that he's still the best driver out there.
Yet I'm surprised to see the championship decided with two races to go. No one was able to string together an actual championship campaign. Lando would have needed to show the performance he showed in Holland and Singapore every week.

Mercedes was on another planet today while McLaren was surprisingly ******. Ferrari could still have a go at the constructors after all.

Good to see the Mercs have a good weekend.
Still bit of a weird USA event for me to really get my arms around.
The drivers commenting about smelling legal weed all around the
track during the weekend was quite funny. Max V. was sure
he would probably fail an FIA drug test because of the exposure!

The timing might not be ideal for a lot of people but it was a good race overall.

Hopefully this run of form continues into the start of next season, in which case we could have a crazy title battle on our hands. Heading into any given weekend right now it’s tough to tell who’ll have the best outright pace.

It was better than last years. I crashed at lap 14, and picked up at lap 15 this morning.

Did Sainz miss pit road?
I would love to know the no-call on that one by Stewards.

This grid walk is more of a hilarious disaster than usual lmaooo. This is like the digger cam of F1... too ridiculous it's funny again
I was laughing my tail off.

Danica seems to be attired in some sort of lavishly decorated Apache horse blanket.
I couldn't figure out what it was....

I wanna know what they are paying her to be a pretty face that jumps out of aerial vehicles....
