2024 Nashville Indycar

I was really glad for Herta getting his first oval win in his hometown.
It was a great pass and he jumped up to runner up in the championship.
Power losing seatbelts is really bizarre. He seemed in good spirits though
after the race and had a strong season. My hope is Newgarden figures out
a plan for a better season next year so he can give Palou a run for his money.
I hope it’s a Palou vs Newgarden vs Herta season long title fight in 2025

I think we’re due for a new champion next season. One of Herta/McLaughlin/O’Ward has to pull through eventually.
ooop, forgot Pato ha ha ha my bad. yeah I mean I'm already excited for what next season is going to entail, I hate the Indy Car off season.

Watched the recording this morning while several inches of rain pour down.

Hideously disappointing for Power. Of all the drivers in all the races in all the world, he has to lose a belt at this one. I must admit, I enjoyed the broadcast being able to focus on the race overall and not have to talk about the title battle.

Legge seems to find trouble regularly.

The bump between 3 and 4 didn't cause problems. Did they grind it overnight?

Nice run by Herta in the second half, and overall great racing through the excellent last 40 laps or so. Other than Power's problem, a great end to the season.
This was a solid race with overtaking and not a lot of dumb cautions (unlike the street circuit).
I liked it much more than the street course!
