Problem is they’re technically at the tail end of the lead lap and could stand to benefit if all the other guys need a splash at the end. So they’re entitled to fight and hold position.

Ericsson gotta be kicking itself he didn't defend that move.

I was surprised Ericsson was never really able to mount a response. It looked like he finally had a run down the backstretch but then he bobbled in turn 3 and blew it. Not that it would’ve mattered with the caution.

Very calculated of Palou to figure, if he’s got to save fuel, you may as well go take the lead and then use the tow of DeFrancesco/Foster instead.

Can't blame 'em, they ran their own race. Maye reduce pit road speed by 5-10 mph next year so those who stopped don't always come out exactly ahead of the leader.
