2025 Australian Grand Prix

McLaren is quite clearly ahead in qualifying but Max isn't out of this, especially if it rains.

Williams confirmed the pace they showed in testing.

I was actually impressed with Aston. Based on testing many were expecting them to be second-to-last, only ahead of Sauber but Alonso showed solid pace in Q1 and only missed Q3 due to some unfortunate circumstances. I wonder if Newey was involved in finding the right setup for this race.

I'm ready for the Red Bull domination to end, but it looks like Max is still very firmly in it with more than a good chance.

Great to see both Williams drivers making to the Q3 yesterday and also a great result for Yuki to get P5. He will surely get that Red Bull seat at some point this season.

Is that every rookie who’s earned damage this weekend now? Antonelli screwed the floor in Q1 with a trip through the gravel if that counts.

Can’t believe Haas didn’t at least split the strategy before the last safety car ended. They were in great shape as the only two cars still left on inters.

I don't think there was a lot they could do, the inters they were on were so worn they wouldn't have had any more grip in the rain.

Albon Antonelli, Stroll and Hülkenberg looking at some great results if they can hang on.

I just got up to watch the race at 1:45 am and I can't post in real time or even read the thread to avoid any spoilers.

But oh my, Nicole Briscoe on the ESPN pre-race show. She hasn't lost a thing and is still achingly beautiful.

Gosh, I wish that race had some more laps to it. What a topsy-turvy, chaotic event. That was fun.

Teams are gonna need to bring some serious upgrades when the European portion of the season kicks off in May to hang with McLaren in the dry, though.

Insanely dramatic and entertaining race. Almost enough to make one desire artificial rain at races where the skies don't cooperate. The balance between tbe wet and dry was nail biting stuff.

McLaren seemed to lose it all in one corner, but Norris was composed and got back in front.

It's also always refreshing to tune into Sky F1 and hear a broadcast that is willing to be critical of the officials where they see fit. This doesn't happen in American motorsports, and it is unfortunate. You can sell the excitement of the event without sounding like you work for the series.

Can’t believe I missed this race. I loved the highlights. Part of me wished that Senna was out there. He could really have school those guys how to drive in the wet.
