I haven't read the entire thread. Excuse me if this has been asked before. Why did they decide the cut the laps in the primary event from 55 laps to 40 laps?

The track couldn't hold the laps. At the same time this year they started checking for tire doping, caught some also. Tire doping was found to be responsible for the track not being able to race well. It rubbers up and becomes one lane. It sounds like they are going back to 55 laps. The track stayed in exceptional shape thru the Shootout and the Chili Bowl this year.

I don't think I watched last year's race. I did watch the main event on Saturday. I've read a lot of people talk about how good of a race it was. I thought it was average. I think a longer race would have made it a little more interesting.

This is an interesting view. It shows how Larson was just gone between yellows. If also shows a good view of the banner that some are trying to make an issue of. The first time thru for Seavey part of the banner is down, the second time around the banner is all down and the yellow is already out before Seavey gets to it.

You can watch Seavey make a couple of mistakes and he lost 2 spots because of it. The A takes prisoners.

crew walked over to give me the visor off the car. Each member of the crew said thank you as they shook my hand, probably 8 or 9 guys They coulda handed me $10k cash and i would turned it down. But the fact that they all took their time to show appreciation for my time was probably the classiest thing I’ve ever encountered at a race track! Pay attention people, there’s lessons to be learned here Respect given = respect earned
