I'm delighted TNT has a separate channel for those interested in this, reducing the amount of attention it gets on the primary broadcast. My concern was this was going to turn into an EVERY POSITION MATTERS annoyance but I’ve not noticed it at all.
Maybe they could do that for the playoffs.I'm delighted TNT has a separate channel for those interested in this, reducing the amount of attention it gets on the primary broadcast.
Nope. Always hated that expression. All eyes on Ty Dillon.
The Winston Million and the No Bull 5 were pretty big deals back in the day. I also liked the old deal where if you won from the pole you got all the money in the pot and it rolled over every week. Before the first Brickyard 400, Bill Elliott winning the Million was probably the biggest media deal in NASCAR history. How often in that era did NASCAR make the cover of Sports Illustrated in September?I've never understood the attraction of OTHER PEOPLE winning money.

I like it when its a smaller team. That million could be a nice bonus for Ty Dillon and his team.I've never understood the attraction of OTHER PEOPLE winning money.
Don't you have Pick Em scores you should be calculating, or some other thing to bring worth to your existence other than abusing the King's English? An informal poll was taken on the use of that expression and, as expected, the ayes have it.![]()
I dont get it either but "the price is right" has been on the TV for about 50 years, somebody is watching.I've never understood the attraction of OTHER PEOPLE winning money.
Yeah, but with game shows I can play along, although Jeopardy is the only one really worth playing. Wheel has become an insult to intelligence.I dont get it either but "the price is right" has been on the TV for about 50 years, somebody is watching.
That makes no sense. It's not like the rest of the team had anything to do with the driver winning.Bob Pockrass (Mirror) (@bob-pockrass-tw.bsky.social)
Update: NASCAR says the $1 million for the winning driver will go to the owner.bsky.app
