Huh. Well, okay then. I don’t think anyone wanted that outside of the Dolphins and F1. This is only the fourth year of the initial ten-year deal. Has it really been that much of a commercial success so far as to be the longest contracted event on the calendar? What about if/when F1 suffers a downturn in (American) interest again?

Was actually not too bad, all things considered, but I only did Friday and Saturday. Yesterday was about $80/ticket after fees and today about $250/each. But the get-in price for tomorrow starts around $500/per so I’m headed out tonight. Maybe next year I’ll get organized in advance and do three-day packages. It was a pretty last-minute decision for me.

If Miami continues as a sprint weekend, I can see making an effort to attend on Saturday. Brightline makes it possible for me to go without spending much time in South Florida. One guy I followed on Bluesky when I still used it took it back and forth daily and saved a ton on hotels.

The RB is probably the 3rd to 4th fastest car on the grid right now. Max keeping his elbows out is the only thing keeping that car on the podium.
