Gasly was fastest in FP1, quali and the race both start at 1 pm eastern

McLaren takes 1st and 2nd in FP2.
Max showed promising pace both over short and long runs. Yuki wasn't far from him but crashed shortly before the end.

Ferrari came into Bahrain with the biggest upgrade package but just missed out on the podium, which had to be a bit frustrating for them. Now they have brought another set of upgrades to Saudi, focusing on the rear end of the car. Leclerc had a decent run in the first two free practice sessions yesterday, finishing third and fourth. It will be interesting to see if these changes are enough to finally get them back on the podium, especially with McLaren looking strong. They are clearly pushing hard early in the season, so hopefully it pays off this time.

Verstappen is otherworldly. The Red Bull seems to have such a narrow operating window, and when it’s there he can do stuff no one else is capable of. Unreal.

Lando starts 10th so there's a chance we'll see him charge through the field.

Lando is out of position so that always helps. Albon will be moving forward also, that Williams has good pace. The drama will be at the front though. Seeing if Max will be able to hold off the faster McLaren of Piastri will be fun to watch.

Nothing worthy of a 5-second penalty for sure. Piastri didn’t leave any space and Max had nowhere to go. If he stays in it it’s a crash.
