Texas cant really be messed with on the front stretch due to the Condos in the Turns, this was on the Dale Jr download episode with Marcus Smith right after they announced Atlanta was going to get their conversion. They'd have to widen the front stretch to accommodate the steeper banking and the banking going into the turns which would have to be done by widening the front stretch and that would throw everything off.

The bigger tell on Texas is that the post suggests there's been a long history of entertaining races there. TMS only counts for that if you are looking at Indycar.

I would rather see identically prepared 4 cylinder Chevy Citations race at Texas than see any race like the new Atlanta. This underpowered nose to tail momentum racing doesn’t agree with me whatsoever.

If I was commissioner of NASCAR, here are the changes I'd make right away for 2026 schedule:

Spring Bristol date goes to North Wilkesboro.

All Star Race goes to North Wilkesboro.

Las Vegas and Texas become part of the Championship Final rotation along with Homestead.
