One year after Canada marked the first real head-to-head scuffle between McLaren teammates, the same has happened again in the Sprint between the Silver Arrows. Antonelli left the track three times over the course of the race while Russell held off Norris for the win.

Just got done with all the weekend highlight packages.
That was quite the show, every session. Those Mercs are going to be
a fun watch all season. Antonelli seems quite fearless. I lost count
how many corners he blew through all weekend. Good finish for
Lewis. He just might steal a win this year.

Was a pretty good race up until Russell’s mechanical issue. Toto is going to want to rein his drivers in, but so long as Merc keep bringing the best car each week they’re bound to be near each other in high leverage situations. I wouldn’t mind a Silver War 2.0. Kimi is really quick, really young, and really Italian, and it’s awesome seeing him take it to his teammate with no fear.

Nightmare day for McLaren, Ferrari have a very good car and a crap power unit. Good stuff between Lewis and Max - their dynamic is a lot different when not competing for a title.

Rumor is that F1 will be off entirely this weekend next year and I wouldn’t mind at all. It felt really out of sight and out of mind away from its usual location this year and given the cramped time slot, even though the racing is miles better than at Monaco.

Felt like I was watching a race from 2010 with all the technical DNFs and two drivers being four laps down.

Only four drivers finishing on the lead lap must be the lowest number since Silverstone in 2008.
Despite that it was a good race, the battle between the Merc drivers was great while it lasted and the battle for 2nd was good too. This is probably the best track for the current powertrains with the long braking zones allowing them to recharge.

I don't know if Kimi was just cruising but the gap to Lewis and Max was fairly small. I don't think Mercedes will win every race this year.
I'm also less certain about Lewis retiring after yesterday's performance.

Hamilton and Verstappen back on the podium together is a most welcome sight, especially with the former in red!
