June 8, 1970 — Herb Iverson won the modified feature race by several car lengths at the Escanaba Speedway. Ed Prowley of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. nipped Ken Iverson of Hyde for the runner-up spot.

Joe Haferkorn of Norway took the checkered flag in the sportsman feature, followed by John O’Palka of Hermansville and Ken Viau of Escanaba.

Don Benoit of Escanaba was the lone double-winner, taking the modified semi-feature and first heat.
