2026 Grand Prix of Arlington

Arlington looks likes it's changed considerably since the mid eighties...
Tough to recognize some landmarks, as a lot have been razed. The track looks Very interesting during practices, with turn 4 being troublesome.

Single-car Fast 6 qualifying was a good idea, but FOX needs sector graphics to help make the presentation work.

The track seem pretty gnarly, lots of low-grip corners where it’s hard to put the power down and the big braking zone at the end of the long straight is pretty bumpy and easy to get unsettled over. They did a great job with the presentation and infrastructure to make it look and feel like a top tier event. Hopefully it races as well as it looks.

Andretti INDYCAR and Ferrari F1 have a lot in common. Andretti cars always have such quick street course pace, but operationally they’re just not good enough to beat the Penske and Ganassi bunches with regularity. Two very costly pit stops for Ericsson and Kirkwood.

Did Andretti have one good pit stop today?

Why do I already believe Mick's IndyCar career won't last longer than a year?
I don’t think there’s any reason he can’t be successful because his old F2 compatriots like Lundgaard and Armstrong have adapted well. There’s certainly a learning curve though, it takes more like two or three years to really get up to speed. Hopefully he’s committed long-term.
