2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics

Simona de Silvestro, yes that Simona de Silvestro, just ran in bobsled. Not a good run and we won’t see anymore of her in these games but neat to see.

Competed at Indianapolis, Daytona and Bathurst. Now an Olympian.
And after looking it up she's indeed the first person to compete in either the Summer or Winter Olympics and the Indy 500.

And btw we'll see her again in the two-woman bob race on Friday and Saturday.

So I have been told from some friends who follow figure skating that a superstition is to light a candle for inconsistent skaters to bring them good luck.

(Amber Glenn is inconsistent, but a fighter.)

Several times I've tuned in to what the guide says is on and that's not what sport is being shown. Don't know who to blame there.

I didn't watch Primetime in Milan tonight, had to get some client work done.

Final thoughts on that is: While Amber's unlikely to podium, she already has a gold. And she has absolutely no pressure going into the free skate, which might be to her advantage.

I don't understand NBC. They've got NBC, CNBC, and USA to give us coverage but last night there was a repeat curling match and repeat Shark Tank on with local news on NBC; which I understand that part. Yes, we have Peacock but not everyone does.

My point being we've got this huge event that NBC has exclusive rights to and they're not showing it to us. WTF?!

I love you guys….but…

I'm back up in Canada till Saturday. Currently sitting in Edmonton watching Team Canada's game now. Hope to see their victory and a USA win later this afternoon. Canada's 4th line is better than most NHL teams 1st lines. I'll be rooting for the US to complete an upset should those two teams face off for the gold.

Always terrible, all the time.

And their definition of live still differs from mine.
A reliable, simplistic layout shouldn't be that hard to produce. Especially with the limited number of events associated with a Winter Olympics schedule.

YouTube TV's format for the Olympic coverage is much more concise. And they're simply relaying NBC's feeds.

Apple TV's interface is pretty decent too.

Also, having to switch feeds halfway through an event because it moves from USA to NBC, or vice versa, has driven me nutty bobo nut town. And if they're on NBC or USA, Peacock doesn't offer the IOC feed.

With Atmos, the broadcast is so much louder than the commercials. They come back from break and the drums start beating on the Olympic Fanfare and it's jolting.
