I found it interesting that Nascar denied Corey Lajoie a waiver for the championship. I guess they denied it on the grounds that Dye was reinstated and they could have put him back in the truck if they wanted to.

Odd. He runs for Truck series points. I guess they figured since he was brought in after the season started as a replacement, they wouldn't waive the requirement to start all races.

At 260 points back and 26th or something, he wasn't going anywhere anyway.

Yeah its just the consistent inconsistencies of Nascar. They let Kenseth run for the championship when Larson got suspended and I'm pretty sure they let Ross declare for the truck championship late one season (2019?).

You would figure now that win and in is over they'd even be more open to the idea.
