I found this clip, about the same length, he found a better angle after a bit, better clip. That place was crowded, plenty of fans. Some of the hauler drivers were lollygagging so they did have some speed built up.

Much better.. I had time to look for the car numbers. Team Penske and 2311 haulers appear to not carry the car numbers???

Nothing can be simple with these people. Be a hell of a lot easier to follow if they timed everybody and then had the slower ones have a short B feature and advance the top 2 or 4, whatever into the race.

The first time I saw drivers actually do that was JHN and his dad in truck qualifying at Daytona six(?) years ago. Both failed to qualify.

I may be wrong, but I believe it would be the non-charter car that finishes next behind them in the Duel.

There could be a lot of variation between who has good race speed and qualifying speed. The cars are doing a lot of dragging and scrubbing while qualifying.

They will probably have to make some adjustments to get them race comfortable for 500 miles, and they will have some practice time to make the changes.

I usually don't think you can do much with an RP car, you have got what you unload (Aero). But I don't think they will be set up as aggressively as they are tonight.

YMMV, all of the above is just the opinion of fan who knows nothing about setting up a car for Daytona.
