Mitchell is currently scheduled to make his NOAPS debut with RCR at Rockingham Speedway in April.
Well, it's a track where he's had recent experience. Frankly, based on his other race performances, I'll be surprised if he makes it halfway. I'll be anticipating the screaming when his 'teammate' Hill puts him in the wall.

Now, McFarland will be making his NOAPS debut in 2026. His first of three scheduled starts will come Saturday, April 4, at Rockingham.

“Guys… I can’t believe I get to say this, but I’m officially a driver at Richard Childress Racing for the Oreilly’s Series,” McFarland wrote on Facebook. “This is a part time deal (3 races a year right now) but hopefully it grows into something bigger. They called me and basically said we want to make you a better driver and give you an opportunity to grow in this sport…. To which I said HELL YEAH BROTHER.”

Needs to run Arca for a year to see if he can do it. Move over WWE. Nascar must be desperate for more eyeballs on the sport. The hundreds of young drivers that have more talent, can't get a chance to move up, and this is what RCR and Nascar want. SMH.

Hoping to scrounge up some clicks from Somebody that owns a race track, has his own private runway, plane, helo, bringing a sponsor that owns 136 car washes and he has one also. Bringing more people to the sport than this podcaster will ever come close to and this clown shows no respect, but Cletus will give him some.

Is he? Again, I've heard that about Danica Patrick, Travis Pastrana, Michael Jordan, Monster Energy, etc. I'd appreciate seeing some evidence that any of these elements brought a measurable permanent increase in NASCAR's audience. Note that I am NOT singling you out as responsible for providing that evidence. I don't know if effects attributable to these factors have been measured or are even measurable.

I'm not saying he isn't popular. I'm saying only I haven't seen any documented stats on the effects of others previously touted as growing the audience. I'm too cynical to accept on faith that he'll have long-term impact, especially at his current schedule and skill level.

That depends on what he going to be respected as. He's not going to get much respect as an O'Reilly driver by running three races with no program to improve. None of the things he owns are going to help his skills at this level.

I posted the good numbers in the race he was in at Daytona in the Trucks and Xfinity. I guarantee you don't know jack about the kind of audience of 4.5 million that Cleetus has, probably haven't watched a minute of any of his video's but here you are with flapping gums.

Again, I'm not questioning his popularity. I'm questioning how many of those folks will become long-term fans, especially if he continues to exit early. It's a rhetorical question; I acknowledge that might be impossible to determine, assuming anyone is trying.

No, I haven't. How are those relevant to his performances in ARCA or Craftsman series, because I've seen those on TV.

To give an idea of this clown show, Freddy podcaster has a whole 10,000 views in 2 weeks time. In just three hours, over 271 thousand views of Cleetus's tour of RCR racing.

I guarantee if Cleetus offered Freddy podcaster or any of them a chance to drive a Crown Vic at the Freedom Factory they would jump at the chance because it would shine a light on their mediocre channel. .

I guess clicks are more important than the safety of the other drivers. One bad move from inexperience could hurt or cause something worse, and take the livelihood of a driver(s) permanently.

Probably should wave that flag when it happens instead of flapping gums when it hasn't. You guys sound pretty funny.

Nascar hasn't carried off a wrecked driver on a stretcher in I don't know how long and you guys are concerned about that, but they ARE carrying them off on stretchers because of failed cool suits. I posted it twice...not a word about that which is more dangerous...and actually happening.

As long as he does badly, it's actually fine. It would be a lot worse for NASCAR if this dude finishes top ten in a Grand National race this weekend. I've actually been pleasantly surprised that he's managed to wreck on his own: I figured he'd be better than that when it came to Daytona or Talladega. No, he at least shows you probably should have been in a stock car a bit first before you start to run plate tracks competitively. Still largely proves that any of us could put a car into the show.
