2026 Silly Season

What's Heim doing next year? JGR should have put him in the 18 xfinity car instead of Sawlalich. I wonder if Sawlalich will return after his mediocre season and season ending concussion.
He's not going into a JGR car. I have no idea what the beef was with toddler Ty but apparently that bridge is burned

I think the word 'nepotism' is way over used in these discussions but this is what happens when you carve out a permanent niche in a business for a relative. They're losing a great driver because Ty Gibbs has a personal issue.

See also the Dillon boys and Brian France, among too many others to list. If someone wants to run their business that way, that's their choice, but expect to sacrifice some chances at success.

Corey Heim doesn't have a full time seat in any of the three series. Heim has a clusterpuck of a season lined up for next year at this point in time. He needs to find a Chevy or a Ford, any full time Chevy or a Ford. The opportunities to find a good team in the future are much greater. If all you have is a chance at 23XI, you don't have much of a career path when most of it still comes from Gibbs.

Depends on how the lawsuit ends up I can see a path of ending up in the #35.

Also a possibility of a 3rd legacy car in 27?

Why the hell is he staying with Toyota then? He should've switched to Chevy or Ford two years ago and now he even has a third option.
Because right now he has or at least for the 25 season he was under contract with 23XI. I have no idea the terms of that contract

I'm actually waiting to see what RFK's move will be. Wasn't Chris's contract up at the end of the season? I don't see him going anywhere either way.

But what's the plans with the #60? They leasing the RWR charter that was sold to Legacy for 26? If so what's the long term plan here? Just a 3rd car for 26, then back to 2? The 51 and 47 charters are the only ones I see going up for sale anytime soon

Sad to see Corey Day go but at the same time I hope he goes and makes a lot of money. Good for him.

HMS back in the Xfinity game full time

Bam, the Kid made the grade.

“Corey impressed us with how quickly he adapted this year,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group. “He’ll go into 2026 with less pavement experience than anyone in the field, but you’d never know it by watching him drive. The instincts and raw talent are off the charts, and he’s going to keep getting better with more seat time. Corey has a tremendous future, and we’re proud to have him represent HendrickCars.com.”
