I figured with 26 Daytona 500 festivities under way, it’s time to start the 27 Silly Season thread. This one might be a shocker
I have not found any.Nothing on Jayski about Denny Hamlin. Any independent confirmation?

I’ve been trying to find anything about Denny but nothing yet. That’s a clickbait tweet and apologies for posting it. But we needed a 2027 Silly Season thread anyways. No news. That's just Cavanna's clickbait way of saying Hamlin's current contract runs through 2027. He tried to get cute with the "scheduled" comment to mislead everyone
That's why I thought Majeski would get Denny's ride. But I didn't realize he's driving for Ford in the trucks. I'm not sure if he has a Ford deal or just with that team.If Gibbs is smart, he locks down Corey Heim for 2028 and puts him in a full time Busch ride in 2027.
He won’t because of his grandson though.

Corey appears to be very talented, but let's give the equipment some credit as well. He was in a better piece than the rest of the field every week.Corey Heim won 12 Truck races and a championship in 2025. He doesn't have a full-time ride at all. Mind blowing.
The fan base would combust.
The jury is out on that as far as I am concerned. Tricon has some good stuff, but I don't believe he gets the extra special one. Daytona is way to early to tell, but lets see anybody from Tricon get half the wins he did last year.Corey appears to be very talented, but let's give the equipment some credit as well. I bet he's aiming for Corey Heim. Legacy would be a very formidable team with a line-up of Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek and Corey Heim.
I think the level of equipment needs to take a step up firstI bet he's aiming for Corey Heim. Legacy would be a very formidable team with a line-up of Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek and Corey Heim.
Human Resources make the difference.I think the level of equipment needs to take a step up first
LOL! Only if you're paying coach for an alliance......and don't run better than the mothershipChassis, engines and bodywork are common to all Toyota runners.
LOL yourself!LOL! Only if you're paying coach for an alliance......and don't run better than the mothership
So you think RWR is running the same setups as HMS? It has nothing to do with HR, it has all to do with money and dataLOL yourself!
My remarks apply to all 3 manufacturers.
And that money is spent on humans who know what to do with the data.It has nothing to do with HR, it has all to do with money and data
What did he do dirty to Tony?Hell, I've always thought the preacher is the worst owner to work for every since he did Tony and Zippy dirty. Nothing over the years have changed that.
The exact opposite of what I said.So you think RWR is running the same setups as HMS?
And Jimmie wrecked it. Sounds like a perfect trade off to me.Riley Herbst and his Monster money to Legacy. Jimmie drove a Herbst truck in the Baja 1000. Building a relationship there. Heim is the driver in waiting at 23XI.
That actually makes a ton of senseRiley Herbst and his Monster money to Legacy. Jimmie drove a Herbst truck in the Baja 1000. Building a relationship there. Heim is the driver in waiting at 23XI.
I don't like this at all. I think Legacy is building something, and Herbst isn't the answer--overstating the obvious.Riley Herbst and his Monster money to Legacy. Jimmie drove a Herbst truck in the Baja 1000. Building a relationship there. Heim is the driver in waiting at 23XI.
Its interesting to me how often a professional athlete (in many sports) steps up their game in a "contract year. " Professional football being the biggest in my observation. Although I am not saying in Tyler's case that this is simply a matter within his sole control.Probably not a surprise to anyone, but there has been chatter about what Mr. H should do with the 48, what The Captain should do with the 2, etc etc etc. But both Hamlin and Reddick say they are deep in the renewal process, with signatures expected soon.
Tyler Reddick, 23XI Racing close in on contract extension
By Jordan Bianchi, The Athletic, March 24, 2026
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — 23XI Racing and Tyler Reddick are closing in on a contract extension that would keep the driver, who’s off to a historic start to the season, with the team long term, 23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin said Tuesday at a team party NASCAR hosted to celebrate Reddick’s Daytona 500 win.
Although Hamlin did not divulge specific terms of the contract offered to Reddick and stressed nothing is signed, he’s confident the team will re-sign Reddick...
“No, I don’t think so. I don’t think so,” Hamlin said when asked whether he thought there was a chance of losing Reddick to a different team.
“I’m just really proud of where we are today and the progress we’re making,” Reddick said. “I want to be here; I love racing here at 23XI and I’m looking forward to getting all buttoned up so we can move on.”
