I can make a case on the Red Bull.
If you want to get a teenaged girls attention have a car sponsored by Natural Light.

Still pissed that Red Bull never got Jagermeister to cosponser their cars for a few races, just to hear "the #4/#83 Jagerbomb Toyota moves up to first"

That would be FANTASTIC

I could only imagine the drinking games

Here's my 3.....1.) Joey Lagano. Unfortunately for him the fast track wasn't the right track. He's got a crap load of talent but can not put it together @ JGR. I think of would have been different for him if he had a couple years of Nationwide experience before he would've been a lot better off.
2.) Greg Biffle. We all know what contracts mean, and we all no what sponsorship problems mean. RFR is struggling to find sponsors, and being his age and a lack of victories right now, put it all together and he might be the odd man out. RFR has a couple young guys that he'd love to give a ride to and can't.
3.) Juan Pablo Montoya- Why I put him on this list, I wonder if Chip will pull the plug. Unfortunately there's not enough road courses on the schedule for him to be successful. He makes bonehead mistakes more often than not, and I don't really think drivers think to much of his racing style. In my opinion they'll be 2 new drivers for Ganassi next year. They need to get it together.

2.) Greg Biffle gone, no way...

Juan maybe, scrap both EGR drivers, I doubt it. It' s not like they are putting winning equipment and making golden calls from the pit box.

If they were, scrap the drivers. But Jamie won a Daytona 500, INDY 400, and one other in a year. Bass pro shops can hang their hat there until at least one Dillon brother makes it to cup.

My thought on this strictly comes from sponsorship issues, a d RFR seems to be a little behind there. Matt Kenseth is unsponsored for 18 races so far this season, Carl Edwards last I looked is 5-8 races unsponsored. We all know how the Nationwide cars for them look. If RFR has to lose a car (which would be awful) who gets the cut? Of course I'm not gonna say I 100% feel he's out, I'm saying it's in the realm of possibilities. Remote anyway

I completely understand your thinking, but, Greg is leading the points right now. There is no way I would let him go.

To add to groundpounder's point about RFR lack of sponsorships , they can't do anything with Bayne and Stenhouse either. They may have to kick them free. Something is about to blow in that organiztion .

I've saying the same thing for a while. I had hoped Penske could nab Stenhouse this year, but they'll stand a better chance when they are running Fords. I think Jack will let a clear winner go before he parts with Carl II.

and when BestBuy goes out of business soon that will be 1 less sponsor for RFR.

Maybe that's why Ford wanted a second big team on their squad. Some laughed when I suggested RPM would go to Dodge, but the rumors are starting. I wonder where that would put Ambrose. I'm pretty sure he signed a personal agreement with Ford.

Maybe the question isn't who will go ?....maybe it should be how many will have to go ?

Speaking of...Roush has suspended the 60 Nationwide car do to lack of sponsorship. This is what has me worried over there. This guy just won the biggest race in NASCAR Sprint Cup last year.

If Roush has to cut a team a loose, Allmendinger had better make the chase - at least - or he`s likely looking for another job.

How long is Logano signed for, anyone know?

This is his last year under the current contract. I don't remember hearing that he has resigned.

Just looked @ Jayski.....

  • Contract Status: Driver: 2012; Primary Sponsors: 2012

Then I have to suggest that Logano may want to kick it up a notch as well.

Thanks, dpk.

Agreed.

A little dated now but a good article on Logano's situation can be found here.

I like a couple of the later lines in that article.....

The “Sliced Bread” nickname? Stale.
The doubt? Plentiful.

A lotta talk about Biffle and Logano , does anybody think that Juan Pablo is safe ?

I don't, he was one of my 3, but I don't know if Chip has it in him to let him go or can admit defeat on that experiment.

My feeling is that the whole program needs to step up a notch with a top ten driver being added.(Like a Biffle or a Kenseth) .I think the MWR program advanced ahead of Ganassi when they added Bowyer and Martin. Of the two drivers in the stable , Jamie Mac has brought so much more to them , he would be the hardest to let go.
