3 things wrong with Nascar and 3 easy fixes

I don’t agree with most of the changes Nascar has made over the past 35 years. However no one wants to hear me be negative all the time so I watch & look at the positives as best I can.

The things I like are some different tracks & watching Carson Hocevar as I think he’s very talented & will be a super star. Seeing Denny Hamlin still drive at such a high level really impresses me as many drivers have gone over a cliff by his age. I like seeing Austin Cindric run well & the same goes for Legacy Motor Club. Depending on the outcome of 2311’s lawsuit Legacy could get a lot more resources from Toyota.

No one wants to hear me going on and on about how NASCAR sucks. I have not liked the past 3 races but coming on here & giving everyone an earful about it is selfish IMO. Don’t worry…..be happy 😃

Let me sum up this week for the weekly drag. Car is too slow, too many road courses, hate the stages for road courses, can't pass.

Drivers too aggressive, drivers have no personality, drivers whine too much, drivers are lousy teammates.

The best way to fix Nascar is to run three different engines and push rod packages.

The big teams like HMS, JGR, Penske, 23xi, etc. would have to field at least one V8 car, one V6, and one 4 cylinder entry. The bigger the engine, the smaller the allowed gas tank.

Different closing speeds, pit strategies galore, and infinite passing.

IMSA?

Back in the day, the little Dr. Pepper dwarf was rocking out the nascar commercials with his falsetto.

The racing has quality dropped off after his departure. The glory is gone.

Digger brought it back. Little did we know back then that a young up an coming TV executive thought some day I am going to have a whole announcing booth filled with those. From gophers to gerbils, look how far we have come.
