ARLINGTON, Texas - For Texas Rangers fans, Josh Hamilton's grand slam Wednesday night was an amazing and proud moment. For a local flooring company, it was expensive.

CC Carpet was promoting a "Grand Slam Payout" for its customers. If you purchased flooring or countertops at the store since August 29, you could get a refund if Hamilton hit a grand slam by the end of the season.

The magic moment came in the fourth inning. Hamilton's third career grand slam highlighted the 9-1 win against the Cleveland Indians.

That means about $500,000 in refunds, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

CC Carpet owner Steve Fitzgerald, who said he's "excited" about the event, got an insurance policy before starting the promotion, just in case.
