6 Turns at Pocono

I am looking for help to bombard NASCAR.com with the following:

Why is Pocono considered to have only 3 turns? Ovals have 4, you go into turn 1 and come out turn 2, etc. When you go into turn 1 at Pocono, where exactly do you come out? I propose it is turn 2!! Please help me out and spread the news and get people to email.

Thanks.

Actually, a lot of teams over the radio will say turns 1&2, 3&4, 5&6. I don't know why it's 3 and not 6 nor do I care. Using your logic, Daytona would be 5 turns and Atlanta would be 6 turns?

First, who cares how many turns Pocono has? I don't.

Second, you can email NASCAR.com all you want. It will only bother Turner Sports and Entertainment, not NASCAR.

I agree, why does it matter? Technically, most ovals only have 2 turns in the traditional sense.

The 4 turns are really only for a point of reference. For example, if a spotter just used 2 turns, the driver wouldn't know if it's at the entrance or exit of the turn.
