94' Mustang Brake Question

Hoping someone on here may have run into the same issue I am running into...

Recently purchased a 94' Mustang with the stock master cylinder and calipers. This car has been modified to a drag car and one of the modifications by the previous owner was removing the brake booster. Car currently doesn't have much stopping power and anything over 1000rpm I start pushing through the brakes.

Wondering if I need to replace the master cylinder or the push rods? Perhaps something different? Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

I'll add, where did they mount the master cylinder? Fab a plate that covers the original hole? Is MC in center? Look at pedal. Is pushrod level? Probably need to drill a new hole in paedal inch or so above the original, closer to pedal mount. Maybe even move MC up/down/sideways to get pushrod absolutely flat.
