A couple of quotes from John Darby

The new Winston Cup series director quoted a couple of issues. Part of longer article if anyone wants I'll bring the whole thing over.

Most pressing short-term issue:

"I’m very, very strongly promoting the reduction of aerodynamics, and I think some of the reasoning behind it is accepted, and being very well understood by a lot of the people in our company that we work on those projects with. The faster I can accelerate that project, the happier I’ll be."

Rules headaches:

"In a dream world we’d write a rule book and throw it on a desk and say, 'Here you go boys. We’re going to leave this thing alone for four years.' But the only way we could do that is if the teams quit working. And as long as there’s competition, and as long as somebody wants to win a race, the teams are never going to quit working."

This is surely a dynamic sport. The only black and white issue there is is who crossed the finish line first.
