Pre-Season testing will start at Sepang tomorrow.
The season will start March 26 at Portimao. There will be 21 events, Aragon is gone while India and Kazakhstan are added to the schedule.
The big change is the addition of half-distance sprint races in the top class which will take place on Saturdays during all race weekends. Sunday's Warm-up practice was cancelled for Moto2 and Moto3 and shortened to 10 minutes for MotoGP.
With Suzuki withdrawing from MotoGP, there will be only 22 full-time bikes in the top-tier category where Augusto Fernandez is the lone rookie. GasGas will officially replace Suzuki as the sixth manufacturer but in reality these bikes are just badge-engineered KTMs.
With Cameron Beaubier returning to MotoAmerica, Joe Roberts and Sean Dylan Kelly will continue to represent the US in the world championship, both will continue to compete in Moto2 with the same teams they in raced for in 2022.
Another significant change from last year is that MotoE has been promoted from "World Cup" to World Championship status, even though races are still exclusively held in Europe.

There was a Shakedown Test featuring the test riders and Fernandez at the beginning of the week. Manufacturers already presented new updates and it's safe to say the end-stage aero wars will continue for another year.

Not a good start to the season. Pol Espargaro crashed in practice, there where no airfences in the corner where he crashed and he was hit by his bike.
He suffered a broken jaw, pulmonary contusions and fractured vertebrae in his back. The injuries have been described as non-life threatening but he'll be out for months.

I'm glad it's happening but it's still a weird feeling because this seemed unimaginable for a very long time.
Marc Marquez will leave Repsol Honda and switch to Gresini Ducati.
End of an era.
