So sad to hear of the passing of Big Al, one of my favorite racers ever.

I have to respect a four time 500 winner.

Everytime I look at pictures of any 1960s and early 1970s Indy drivers and the beastly cars I just find it incredible. You had to be a bad ass to make it in that world.

One of my favorites as were the whole Unser family. Al Sr. was such a mild mannered guy but sure knew how to get angry behind the wheel of a race car.

One of my heroes has passed. First Bobby and now Al. They were great people in spirit and accomplishment. I consider myself lucky to have seen them race. Most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Al.
