Oh well have fun, enjoy the sport if you agree with whats being done. I just have no respect left for the sport anymore, nor does the cup mean is much to me. Ill leave with a 1 finger salute to brian france, and the whole nextel/ nascar crew.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but after months of hearing this kind of stuff, I'm just going to take it as one less whinner to deal with next season. Ya know, I'm not that big of a fan of the new points system, but i'll still watch and root for my driver on any given Saturday or Sunday. It's just the way NASCAR is, and it's something you'll have to live with.

I am sick of all the bitching and moaning. As someone already said, this is the way it is and it isn't changing any time soon, so why nag on incessantly about it?

I simply do NOT understand why this new chase is so bad. I'm a new fan and lemme tell you, there is -0- incentive to watch the championship if it's practically clinched in the last 7 races or so....

It's like this. There is zero incentive to watch it, when it is fabricated.

May I ask you one question? Do you know something others don't? And, more importantly, how do they script it (fabricate the results)? If they are doing this these days, it would be all over the press cause you can't keep everyone quiet. I will give you this however...I used to work with a guy who owned a Dash car and a Busch car. This was long ago, but there were times when the officials walked down the garage and told everyone that so and so was supposed to happen and it was up to the car owners as to how it all happened. It wasn't that one car was to win, but certain scenarios were to be carried out. Now that is scriping for sure, but my friend told me that few if any teams carried out those so called orders. Call it intimidation or whatever, but it didn't work then, and I dare say that it wouldn't work now. Way too much money is involved these days for it to happen.

I agree race results cannot be scripted. What the c4c does, however, is fabricate a close championship race with 10 to go.

Okay, as Paton once said, from one ... to another, I'll drink to that. (Please don't infer that I was calling you anything, it was just a metafor) But, you gotta agree with the new script, (system) it did accomplish what they set out to do. :beerbang:

The way I see it, any chnpionship/play-off is going to alienate people. I'm a big Bronco's fan...and since they've not done well the past couple of years, I've stopped caring/watching the play-off's etc. I honestly can say I have no idea who won the last two (or even played in) Superbowls.

But I'm a bigger NASCAR fan now, because individual races are more exciting to me than the Championship race...I use it mainly as a rough gauge on who's a strong racer this year. Jimmie is my alltime fav...and I KNOW he's one of the best drivers out there.

I don't need a title to tell me that....many Superbowls, World-Series, & Stanley Cups hav been won by technically inferior teams...that's what keeps sports interesting.

Even I would stop watching if Jimmie won ALL the races! :)

I don't really think the races are fixed. I just think the racing sucks on many of the tracks.

There is a big NASCAR conspiracy where Earnhradt Sr. comes from beyond the grave to give instructions. Everyone follows suit and the world plays out as it should.

Damn NASCAR! Don't fabricate my races! It's only real if -I- agree with you!!!

Alright, Exodeath!! :D :D :beerbang: :beerbang:

And, if the racing sucks on some many tracks, why bore us who don't agree with that opinion every chance you get?

Just to give some people something else to gripe about

You know what I really enjoy about the 48? That thing is a Hot Rod, the driver knows how to use it and the Crew Chief is on the leading edge.
