AJ Allmendinger. Never seen someone so happy to win a NASCAR race. The other drivers just go through the motions - AJ was happier than a witch in a broom factory.
 
I think the reason you see so many young drivers flock to North Carolina is because honestly, it's where all the teams are at. I mean in Concord, NC alone you have Hendricks Motorsports, Stewart Haas, Phil Parsons Racing, Penske Racing. Joe Gibbs Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing, Roush Fenway, Chip Ganassi. Honestly, I think the only racing team that's not in North Carolina is Furniture Row, they're up in Denver Colorado.

So, while it's easy for someone *coughAndycough* to say that drivers should do a better job of repping their hometown by staying there on the local circuit until one of the Sprint Cup team notices them, that's just not reality. The reality is, North Carolina is the powerhouse of NASCAR, it's where the vast majority of the teams have their shops located at and it's where a young driver is going to have the best chance of getting noticed.
 
Danica is part of this mix. Shes not as young as the young guns, but she certainly makes the series more exciting.

I feel she does. Get WAAAAAY excited when shes running good. Shes just who I cheer for.

So would he. But he is so bad nobody will give him a ride. He is a long way from being a young driver if we are talking about the same Villeneueve. o_O

I didn't say it was non existant, I said go to your local short track if you want to see gooning it up. There are nothing but robots and rich kids in the higher levels. Nascar is dead.. Andy says so. 20 year old's are experts.

Never said he was young. I do think he'd still do well in NASCAR's Truck and Nationwide road races. I think he runs in the World Rallycross Championship now; I watched him race on some obscure channel a few months ago.
 
yeah he would be great in the trucks..with an average finish of 25th,

I used to worry that I'd not find another driver to root for once JG retired. That's no longer an issue due to the emergence of Kyle Larson, Chase Elliot and Darryl Wallace Jr.
